AI is Often Wrong, But Still Useful
Do Exercise:
For this exercise you have already been primed to be skeptical, but try to imagine yourself approaching AI as a beginner…
Pick a topic you know little about and ask AI to give you a 200 word article about it. Give it a Grade from A+ to F. Did it seem accurate, did it appear to emphasize the right things, and did it appear to miss key facts?
Now repeat the exercise for a topic you have pretty deep expertise in. Do you see inaccuracies, or key things it missed?
Note down any differences you notice regarding how you responded to the article.
Understanding AI Bias

Choose a Job Role you are familiar with. Ask a GenerativeAI tool to create 4 personas for the role, detailing name, gender, ethnicity, education and interests. Repeat the process 3-5 times with different AI tools and compare the results. Are there patterns? Do the results reflect real life diversity. Can you find any potential biases in the results? Note, if you do not have access to different AI tools, compare it to information you find on the Internet or other sources of information.

Imagine you have to recommend a medical treatment for a patient with a rare disease. Treatment A has an 80% chance of extending life by 5 years, but with significant side effects. Treatment B has a 60% chance of curing the disease completely but also a 20% risk of immediate fatality.
1) Without knowing anything else, which treatment would you recommend?
2) What other information, if you had it, would help inform your decision for this patient?
3) Present this scenario to your preferred Generative AI system and compare its answer to yours.
[Extra Credit] – present the same scenario to different forms of Generative AI and compare their answers.

2) Type in the following prompt: “Give me 5 examples of ways you can help me do my work more efficiently” and record the parts of it's answers you intend to act on.

3) Share insights on the potential impact of behind-the-scenes AI with your team. Discuss how integrating these tools could elevate your business operations or customer engagement.
